The Martiánez Shopping Center installs a photovoltaic plant on its upper deck
This year, the Martiánez Shopping Center has installed a photovoltaic plant on part of its upper roof. This new installation is justified by its contribution to the improvement in energy efficiency, by reducing final energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions and by the use of renewable energies in accordance with the provisions of Article 7 of Directive 2018/2002/EU. commitment to decarbonization.
A plant with a power of 200.75 Kwp in direct current and a total of 365 photovoltaic panels for self-consumption and with an anti-discharge system to the grid.
With this singular action we intend to have a saving in consumption of 31.7% of the total Kw/h consumed.
For each kWh generated by this photovoltaic installation, 0.825 kg of CO2 emissions per kWh would be avoided, and since the total estimated generation of the installation is 261.8 MWh/year, the total savings in CO2 emissions amount to 216,898 kg of CO2 per year, which during the 25 years of the plant's useful life would be 5,422,450 kg of CO2.
Once the plant is installed, we obtain an energy efficiency certificate that certifies the improvement of one letter in its energy rating measured on the scale of carbon dioxide emissions (Kg CO2/m2 per year). With this action, Grupo Número Uno not only reduces the carbon footprint and impact of the center, but also bets for the self-supply of clean energies.
For Centro Comercial Martiánez it is a step forward in our sustainability and environmental policy with sustainable energy savings, sustainable mobility, waste recycling with valorization and with the intention of adapting to a reality such as climate change and Agenda 2030 by moving towards a more efficient and respectful future, aligned with the best sustainability practices.
