Photography exhibitions at CC Open Mall Lanzarote
Once again, from the Open Mall Shopping Center Lanzarote we want to pay tribute to the world of art, and in this case, we have done it for photography. During 4 months we have had exhibitions of different authors that have not left our customers indifferent.
We begin on July 22ndwith the first exhibition by the photographer Gustavo Medina, and his exhibition named "THE ISLAND OF A THOUSAND FACES".
Climbing to the top of a volcano. Contemplate sunsets, sunrises. Appreciate the shape of the clouds, the orographic stratum in Famara. Admire the night sky, look at the horizon.
My curiosity has always led me to look for new corners and angles to observe the landscape contrasts between the different parts of the island and the different seasons. With this exhibition my intention is to show how a relatively small island can be so diverse and host very different postcard landscapes, from the Blue Hour on a dreamy beach, to a lightning bolt during a thunderstorm.
We continue on August 12, with the exhibition of Karycia Iglesias, and her exhibition called "WOMEN IN WATER".
With each photograph, Karycia seeks to highlight the connection between women and nature. She uses the marine environment as a canvas to create images that convey serenity and empowerment.
In her works, she plays with light and reflections of water to create visually stunning compositions. Water becomes a transforming element that enhances the natural beauty of her models and envelops them in an aura of mystery and delicacy.
Each photograph is an invitation to contemplate feminine beauty from a unique perspective. Her images convey a sense of freedom and empowerment, while capturing the vulnerability and strength of women.
On September 9th, exhibition of Álvaro Guzmán with the title "THE DOUBLE SKIN".
Through the photographic technique of double exposure, Álvaro Guzmán puts the skin of Lanzarote on the body of the woman, thus uniting the two essences, recalling the ancestral connection of the human being with nature. A dreamlike and timeless universe that invites to conscious reflection and respect for the environment.
Through a language of opposites, fragile strength, rough softness, sweetness and wildness are proposed; a balance within chaos.
The incarnated soul and the Mother Earth dancing to the rhythm of the deep beat in the chest of her volcano, in the ash of her memory, lighting the light of the eternal fire in the darkness.
And we put a point and apart of this season of exhibitions, on October 14, with the exhibition of Juan Méndez Quesada with the title "LANZAROTE IN ITS DIFFERENT PHASES".
Lanzarote always has a special charm that never ceases to make me fall in love. Even if I think that everything has already been seen, it always manages to surprise me at some special moment.
And is that climbing mountains late at night has never been a problem for me if at dawn will give me a cascade of clouds totally incredible, go out at night in a storm to leave me hallucinating with its rays, a milky way that despite the light pollution we have on the island leaves magical snapshots.
The moonlit nights that Lanzarote has given me allowing me to play with them in different parts of the island, and also with the sun.
