"Jos Galán Prize" awarded to Mr. Amid Achí Fadul.
The Spanish Association of Shopping Centers and Commercial Parks (AECC), has held as every year, the Spanish Congress of Shopping Centers, for the delivery of the traditional AECC Awards, being the city of Valencia, the meeting place for this celebration.
On October 24, during the 20th Congress, the Spanish Association of Shopping Centers and Retail Parks (AECC) presented the Awards that recognize the effort and excellence in the work carried out by different industry players.
Within the category of Special Awards is the Jos Galán Award, the most important award given at national level, which recognizes a professional career that has made a significant contribution to the shopping center and retail park sector. This year it was awarded to Mr. Amid Achí, president and founder of Grupo Número 1, and was presented by the former President, Mr. Javier Hortelano, and the current President, Mr. Eduardo Ceballo.
This award values its excellence in the work carried out over so many years for the development of the shopping center sector in the Canary Islands.
He is considered today a pioneer of the sector at national level, building in 1993 the Santa Cruz Continente shopping center, today called Añaza Carrefour, being this the first shopping center in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in which the main traders of the time joined him as fellow travelers.
